Sex therapy
If you’ve struggled with intimacy, feel disconnected from your body, or have past trauma that has shaped how you feel about sex, you’re not alone. While these experiences can feel deeply isolating, know that many people quietly carry this burden, and therapy can help. At Lōmii Studio, our Fort Lauderdale therapists offer specialized, trauma-informed sex therapy designed to meet you with depth, discretion, clinical expertise, and care.
Who we work with
Our Fort Lauderdale team supports adults whose ADHD shows up alongside emotional, relational, or trauma-related patterns. While we are not an ADHD testing or medication practice, we work well with clients who want depth-oriented therapy that honors how ADHD interacts with the whole self. We’re often a fit for:
High-achieving professionals who appear organized externally but feel internally scattered, depleted, or behind
Adults recently diagnosed with ADHD who are making sense of lifelong patterns through a new lens
Clients whose ADHD coexists with anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, or complex trauma
Individuals who have tried medication or coaching and want deeper, integrative therapeutic work
Creatives, entrepreneurs, and helping professionals navigating overstimulation and emotional dysregulation
If you are looking for a practice that can hold the full picture of neurodivergence beyond surface-level symptoms alone, we’d be honored to support you.

Reebha Sharma, RMHCI
Hi, I’m Reebha. I’m a sex-positive, culturally-attuned clinician working toward sex therapy certification through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT). My work lives at the intersection of sexuality, identity, trauma, and the nervous system, exploring how your lived experiences impact your current relationship with sex, your body, and yourself. I integrate modalities such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Somatic-Concentric Sex Therapy, and PACT couples therapy to offer a holistic, customized approach to my clients, in addition to a steady, warm presence that makes this difficult work feel approachable.

What to expect from the therapy process
our Process
Step 1. Complimentary intro call
Begin by completing our inquiry form and scheduling a brief, complimentary introductory call. This is a chance to share what brings you in, ask questions about our approach, and make sure the clinician and format feel like the right fit before moving forward.
Step 2. Intake & treatment planning
Your first few sessions focus on understanding your history, current concerns, and goals. Your therapist gathers a thorough clinical picture and collaborates with you on a treatment plan, including whether weekly therapy or an EMDR intensive will best support your process.
Step 3. Ongoing sessions & integration
From there, you move into the core work, whether that’s through weekly 90-minute sessions or through a customized EMDR intensive. Whichever path you choose, the focus is on sustainable, integrated change to help you build insight and shift your felt experience.
FAQs about sex therapy
-
A sex therapist is a mental health professional with specialized training in sexuality, intimacy, and related concerns. At Lōmii Studio, our clinicians integrate this focus with trauma-centered care, helping clients address sexual difficulties within the broader context of their emotional history, relationships, nervous system, and identity. Sex therapy is talk-based and clinically grounded—there is no physical contact or examination involved at any point.
-
Sessions typically begin with a check-in about what has been present for you since your last meeting, followed by focused work on the concerns that brought you in. Depending on your goals, this may include EMDR, somatic practices, parts work, relational exploration, or psychoeducation. Weekly sessions are ninety minutes, allowing space for depth and integration rather than a rushed, traditional format, with intensives available for those seeking a deep, dedicated space for healing.
-
A sex therapist is a qualified mental health professional with additional training in sexuality. They provide psychotherapy and are regulated by state licensing boards. A sexologist is someone who studies human sexuality academically or educationally, and the term itself is not a regulated clinical license in most states. If you are seeking clinical care for emotional, relational, or trauma-related concerns, a sex therapist is the appropriate fit. That’s what we offer at Lōmii Studio.
-
Our clinicians primarily offer individual sex therapy, though Reebha is also trained in couples work through PACT (a psychobiological approach to couples therapy). Whether the concern is something you carry personally or something affecting a relationship, we tailor the approach to what will best support your healing: individually, or through couples sessions when clinically appropriate.
-
Yes. In-person sessions are available at our Fort Lauderdale studio, a private, boutique space designed to feel calm and restorative. Telehealth is also offered for clients located anywhere in Florida. You are welcome to begin in-person, virtually, or combine both based on what supports your process.

Sex therapy is sometimes covered by insurance, though exact coverage can vary significantly. Lōmii Studio is a private-pay practice and does not bill insurance directly. This allows us to offer longer sessions, flexible pacing, and a personalized, trauma-centered approach that insurance models often do not accommodate. Clients with out-of-network benefits may submit superbills for potential reimbursement, and our team is glad to walk you through that process.
